Lundberg is Supporting Renewable Energy
We have partnered with Renewable Choice to support clean renewable energy development and offset our conventional electricity use by purchasing renewable energy credits (RECs).
RECs are produced by wind farms, biomass facilities and other renewable energy projects that allow companies and consumers to offset their electricity use with clean and renewable energy. By purchasing RECs, we are guaranteed that the electricity we use, that is not produced from our solar panels, is replaced on the national power grid with electricity generated from renewable energy sources.

By taking steps to conserve our electricity use and reduce our environmental impact by investing in reenewable energy, our commitment has an impact similar to:

How RECs Work
More than 70 percent of U.S. electricity comes from burning fossil fuels like coal and natural gas, which emit the harmful greenhouse gasses that contribute to air pollution and climate change. Wind power-generated electricity is renewable, sustainable, and does not produce air pollution or contribute to climate change.
RECs are created every time a renewable energy facility adds one megawatt hour of electricity to the national electricity grid, and renewable energy developers consider REC sales when deciding whether or not to build new facilities. RECs allow governments and consumers to price the positive value of renewable energy, making its generation more competitive financially with electricity generated from fossil fuels.

Our RECs Are Certified
The Center for Resource Solutions is a non-profit third-party organization that administers the Green-e Energy program. It is the nation’s leading independent certification and auditing program for renewable energy. Its mission is to expand the retail market for electricity products and provide customers clear information about green retail electricity products.
