Small Grains Developer

Lundberg Family Farms is seeking a full-time Small Grains Developer. This position will be responsible for developing small scale applications for drying, storing and processing small grains to be ready for sale to consumers, and scaling up capabilities as domestic supply grows. The Small Grains Developer will be responsible for meeting all food safety, quality, labeling and nutritional requirements, and business and profitability targets.

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field. Three to five years of experience in a food-related industry in a technical role such as product development, process development, product commercialization, quality assurance or food manufacturing. Two or more years of manufacturing or process development experience preferred. Looking for a candidate with high energy, positive, can-do attitude; who is a team player and has the ability to take ownership and accountability.


Accounts Payable Clerk

Lundberg Family Farms is seeking an individual as a full-time Accounts Payable Clerk. This position is responsible for general accounting functions as they are related to accounts payable, oversight and control of accounts payable checks, invoice matching to receiving documents and balancing of monthly vendor statements. Additionally, the position ensures all payments of goods and services necessary for basic operation of Lundberg Family Farms.

The successful candidate will possess an Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience. Candidates should have knowledge of Navision or a similar ERP Accounts Payable system and have three to five years of experience in Accounts Payable with increasing responsibilities. Must also have experience with Microsoft Excel, exceptional communication and organizational skills, and possess excellent math skills.

Regional Farm Supervisor

Lundberg Family Farms is seeking an individual to serve as a Regional Farm Supervisor on a full-time basis. The Regional Farm Supervisor will oversee day-to-day farm operations and staff on Lundberg Family Farms owned and operated Farms. This position performs manual and skilled work in the area of rice and row crop production including, planting, growing, irrigating and harvesting of various crops. The Regional Farm Supervisor will operate equipment as needed.

The successful candidate must have previous farm experience related to rice and row crop production; organic farming experience preferred. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and have a valid California Driver’s License; Class A License preferred. The successful candidate will possess excellent knowledge of farm equipment operation and maintenance, supervisory and communication skills, work well under pressure, and have familiarity with irrigation systems, both surface water and wells.

Food Safety Quality Engineer

Lundberg Family Farms is seeking an experienced individual to perform as a Food Safety Quality Engineer on a full-time basis. This position is responsible for ensuring all quality and regulatory related activities meet company service, quality, and food safety objectives. This position provides quality system leadership and technical direction to coordinators, supervisors and floor level employees it works with on a daily basis. The Food Safety Quality Engineer ensures that all quality and food safety programs and trainings are completed and documented and acts as the primary floor level quality and food safety advocate for the company. This position works directly with the shift food safety lead regarding quality assurance and food safety related opportunities.

The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or related science. Candidates must have 1 to 3 years of related experience; 3+ years’ experience preferred. The successful candidate will have GFSI experience, implementing and maintaining the program and be HACCP certified with experience in implementation of the program. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, strong root cause, problem-solving execution, and be able to work flexible hours with shifting priorities and ambiguity.

Human Resources Generalist

Lundberg Family Farms is currently seeking a motivated individual who enjoys working in a people-oriented culture, to serve as a Human Resources Generalist. The Generalist will assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to promote a positive working environment throughout the organization.

Primary areas of responsibility include all aspects of benefits administration; worker’s compensation administration; performance assessments, and coordination of employee events and wellness programs.

The Generalist will maintain records and logs; update reports, handbooks and procedure manuals; coordinate company meetings; prepare presentations and assist in all areas of human resources administration.

The ideal candidate should enjoy working with people; have previous experience administering benefits programs; a thorough understanding of human resources laws and requirements; have the ability to keep confidential information and be detail oriented with excellent problem solving skills. Applicants must have intermediate level experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Previous experience with human resources information systems is preferred.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s in Human Resources Administration, Business, Communications or a closely related field, a minimum of three years of experience in the human resources field and must possess an in-depth understanding of the HR body of knowledge. PHR certification and/or SHRM-CP is highly desirable.

Quality Systems Engineer

Lundberg Family Farms is seeking an experienced individual to perform as a Quality Systems Engineer on a full-time basis. This position is responsible for delivering product quality, food safety, regulatory requirements and productivity to meet our customer/consumer expectations and business needs. In coordination with the Director of Quality Systems, this position is responsible for defining key consumer quality requirements and food safety system execution during new product development, commercialization, in-house manufacturing and contract manufacturing. The Quality Systems Engineer is also responsible for ensuring accurate nutrition and ingredient labeling, legality of health/wellness related claims and application of Lean/Continuous Improvement tools.

The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Engineering, or related technical field or have at least 7 years of relevant experience. Candidates must have 3 or more years of experience in a food manufacturing environment. Experience with product development and commercialization and with specialized nutritional database labeling software is beneficial. The successful candidate must possess strong knowledge and application of food safety programs, allergen control, quality engineering principals, and sensory science; SQF and HACCP Certification preferred.

Maintenance Process Improvement Intern

Lundberg Family Farms is seeking an individual to perform as a Maintenance Process Improvement Intern on a part-time basis. This is a temporary position expected to last six months. This position will assist the maintenance teams in expansion of existing preventative maintenance system tool. Key focus areas will include: developing and implementing tools, process and reports to ensure full utilization of existing system developing gap assessment on system capability and future maintenance requirements.

The successful candidate will be pursuing an Engineering or technical-related degree such as Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering. Candidates should possess excellent planning and organizational skills, have methodical and thorough working habits, have strong self-motivation and attention to detail.

This position requires the ability to lift, push, or pull up to 40 pounds.

Product Commercialization Intern

Lundberg Family Farms is seeking an individual to perform as a Product Commercialization Intern on a part-time basis. This is a temporary position expected to last between three and six months. This position will assist the Product Commercialization Manager by supporting or executing activities in the Stage-Gate new product development process, as well as organizing and maintaining the central shared document drive for project documentation. The Product Commercialization Intern will create presentations, record detailed notes from project meetings, and coordinate various tasks and projects.

The successful candidate will be pursuing a degree in Business Administration or related field; emphasis in Project Management preferred. Experience with MS Project and MS Office required; MS SharePoint and MS Visio experience preferred. Candidates must possess excellent organizational and time management skills, be proactive and accountable, have effective collaboration and teamwork skills, and have excellent written and oral communication skills. The successful candidate will have the ability to respectfully challenge conventional thinking and provide fresh ideas.
