Pilot Plant Coordinator

Lundberg Family Farms is seeking an experienced individual to fill its Pilot Plant Coordinator position. This position is responsible for supporting pilot plant operations. The Pilot Plant Coordinator is the resident expert in the operation of equipment used in the Pilot Plant to generate new products, develop new processes and test new materials. The position is responsible for the functionality of the pilot plant equipment, and will provide mechanical support for Lundberg Family Farms’ research and development staff.  It will lead in the documentation of operating procedures developed at the Pilot Plant, for implementation in the regular manufacturing setting.  This position will assist with pre-development trials, support pilot technician activities and provide other administrative duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will have three years’ of experience in food processing, confectionary, nutrition bar, or cereal processing industries; or the equivalent knowledge of food processing, food science or nutrition. The ideal candidate will have preferred working experience with operating, repairing, maintaining, and/or developing enrobing equipment, extrusion and sheeting equipment, or popped/puffed snack equipment.

Rice Cake Shift Lead - Swing Shift

The Rice Cake Shift Lead will assist the Rice Cake Production Supervisor in producing rice cakes that meet Lundberg Family Farms’ standards. This position communicates with the Rice Cake Production Supervisor and/or the Rice Cake Manager on needs and concerns. This position will also communicate with the Warehouse and Mill departments as needed. Additional responsibilities include communicating with staff regarding goals, problem solving and analyzing systems.

A High school diploma or GED and valid California Driver’s License is required. The preferred candidate will also have one year of production or food production experience. This position requires the ability to lift, carry and hold up to 50#s and the ability to perform tasks requiring repetitive motion.
