Organic Sprouted Chile Verde Rice
You’ll delight in this unique Chile Verde recipe featuring spicy jalapeños with savory onion and garlic. In a medium saucepan combine 1¾ cups of water, rice, seasoning and 1 tsp. of olive oil (optional). Stir well and bring to a boil.
Cover and reduce heat to maintain a simmer. Do not lift lid while cooking. Simmer for 35 minutes.
Remove from heat. Let stand covered for 5 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve.

Substitute ½ cup of water with fresh pureed tomatillos for a tart and tangy twist.
For even more flavor, substitute water with a low sodium vegetable or chicken stock.
