Organic Sprouted Vegetable Fried Rice
Organic sprouted brown rice is the base for this Asian-inspired Vegetable Fried Rice recipe. Enjoy a delicious blend of savory soy, onion, and garlic combined with sweet bell peppers and carrots. So easy to prepare, serve as a savory alternative to a traditional side dish or as a light meal anytime.
In a medium saucepan combine 1¾ cups of water, rice, seasoning and 1 tsp. of olive oil (optional). Stir well and bring to a boil.
Cover and reduce heat to maintain a simmer. Do not lift lid while cooking. Simmer for 35 minutes.
Remove from heat. Let stand covered for 5 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve.

For a hearty side dish, stir in scrambled eggs and sliced scallions to prepared vegetable fried rice.
For even more flavor, substitute olive oil with toasted sesame oil.
