Organic California White Jasmine Rice

Jasmine is an aromatic long grain rice originally grown only in Thailand. While cooking, this exotic rice fills your kitchen with a delicate scent. The grains cook up moist and tender with a soft texture and delicious flavor. Jasmine rice is very versatile - use it as a side dish or in pilafs and desserts.

Cooking Instructions

  • 1 cup Lundberg® California White Jasmine rice
  • 1½ cups water or broth
  • 1 tbsp. butter (optional)
  • salt to taste

Rinse rice. Put all ingredients in a pot with a tight-fitting lid. Bring to a boil, stir once, reduce heat, cover and simmer 20 minutes. Do not remove lid. Remove from heat and allow to sit, covered, for 10 minutes. Fluff with a fork. A rice cooker may be used with the same water-to-rice ratio.Yield: 3 cups

    is this product whole grain?are all of your raw rice products whole grain?if not ,please indicate which are and which are not

    White rice is not whole grain since all of the bran has been removed during the milling process. Brown rices ARE whole grain since they still contain the bran layer. All of our brown rice varieties are indicated as whole grain on our website with the Whole Grain Council's Whole Grain Stamp under "Nutrition Information". We are currently updating ALL of our packaging with the addition of the Whole Grain Stamp for our whole grain products. Until the new packaging reaches your grocery shelves, our website will have all of the most accurate product information.

    Hi George- all rice is naturally gluten-free and our rices are all dried/stored/milled in a gluten-free facility.
