This is one of the most delicious varieties of brown rice I have ever tasted.  On its own, it has a wonderful nutty aroma and if cooked with less water (1:1.5 instead of the website recommended 1:2 ratio) it retains texture and a satisfying chewiness.

I save the water I use to boil vegetables, any vegetable, (after straining it free of particulates) and use it to cook the Golden Rose Brown Rice.  I also make the base of a Japanese broth that starts with soaking a piece of dried seaweed in boiling water.  After straining, measure out the liquid to cook the rice.  I do the same thing when I am reconstituting dried mushrooms or sun dried tomatoes, if I don't use the water in the dish I am cooking.  I've even used fresh or frozen whey.

I never add salt, allowing the dish I eat with the rice to season my rice.

I rinse the rice twice to get the dust off the grains.

I also have a small rice cooker which takes the watching and the guessing out of the picture.  Measure the amount of rice you want into the cooker's pot, rinse the rice, measure in enough liquid, put the post inside the cooker, put the lid on, plug in the cooker and turn it on.  When the cooker chimes, the rice is done.  Depending on your cooker and your preference for how chewy or soft you want your rice, you may have to tweak your rice to water ratio.
