Lundberg Wild Blend®

Colorful to the eye, delightful texture and full-bodied flavor and aroma all come together in this blend of long grain brown rice, sweet brown rice, Wehani®, Black Japonica™ and select wild rice pieces. Wild Blend® is versatile, so serve it up with hearty meals or subtle seafood dishes.

Cooking Instructions

  • 1 cup Lundberg Wild Blend®
  • 2 cups water or bouillon
  • 1 tbsp butter or margarine
  • Salt to taste

Rinse rice. Put all ingredients in pot with tight-fitting lid. Bring to boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 45 minutes. Do not remove lid. Remove from heat and allow to sit covered for 10 minutes. Serves 4 to 6. A rice cooker may be used with the same rice-to-water ratio.

    This blend has a wonderful flavor and a nut-like aroma.  I like the chewy texture and the colorful mixture of different kinds of rice grains in it.  We eat a lot of rice and whole grains and this blend is a favorite at our house!  Thanks!

    Love this rice! Cooked it in the microwave and let it cool. After cooling I fried the rice in a pan on the stove with some olive oil, vinegar, garlic, and other spices. A very yum-yum dish! My husband and I love this rice!

    The Saute recipe on the bag has been made in my house over and over! We love it! As others have said, the nutty, chewy texture is amazing!
    Even the teen and picky Kindergardener love it!

    I do wish the serving sizes would also show "cooked" amounts not just dry! I assume it is double the amount of dry, but never quite sure!

    Love this! by far my favorite rice blend.  Wonderful texture, amazing flavor -- we cook it in broth (chicken or vegetable) and don't season it or add butter -- it's perfect! It has so much flavor the extra calories from butter are never missed!

    Haven't tried it with my family yet, who can be picky about healthy food, but I think this just might make the cut! I love it, forgot about it on the stove last night when I took an important phone call, thankfully it didn't burn even though it boiled for quite a while! Tasted amazing, and just as good as leftovers--I just added a bit of water and heated some up in the microwave. Yay for being vegan, non-gmo, and full of whole grain and fiber!

    This is the perfect blend.  Enough wild rice for flavor but not enough to make it exorbitantly expensive, and a great mix of other rices.   I make a large pot for supper, and serve it the next morning reheated with warm milk, butter, sugar and cinnamon.  I love the sugar, but it would probably be yummy with just the cinnamon for those who don't eat refined sugar.

    I am on a gluten free diet right now and this rice is fabulous.  The taste is absolutely fantastic.  I just use 8 oz vegetable broth (pacific foods) and 8 ounces of water a little bit of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and as the rice is close to completion I cut up some fresh garlic cloves in.  Absolutely delicious.

    Not only does this rice-blend look and taste great with anything (I made it with scallions, carrots and celery along-side smoked trout fillets,) it is pure whole-grain health. It re-heats as a leftover very well as it it is so "stout." Today I added mushrooms to the leftovers...

    I've just had to change my diet to a low or near-no fat for gall bladder/ pancreatic issues and I'm super happy to have come across this flavorful product.

    I often use this as my go-to rice when having people over for dinner. It looks fancy, but is effortless in the rice cooker (and usually I just make it completely plain). When people comment on how delicious and impressive it is, I love to say "Thanks, and you know what I add that makes it taste so good? Water."
