Mmmm... I wish these were made without corn and garlic - food allergies! They sound delicious otherwise.

I used to Love these chips and I would purchase 5 or 6 of them at a time frequently until I noticed the change in the amount of flavor on the chips! I am very disappointed but they just don't taste the same anymore!  I'm not sure if it has been a deliberate thing the company has done but unfortunately I won't be purchasing them any longer just for that reason.

I read that yeast extract is monosodium glutamate.  Your barbecue rice chips have this ingredient.  I feel misled by the labeling on these rice chips.

    Hi Kathy,
MSG and yeast are not the same ingredients. Yeast is a flavor enhancer produced by the fermentation of yeasts. They are natural, vegan, and can be used in organic foods. They are not a chemical additive. MSG is the sodium salt of glutamate (an amino acid). They do work similarly on the tongue, with one’s taste buds reacting to the free glutamic acid, the same way that mushrooms, aged cheese, ripe tomatoes, soy sauce and nam pla (fermented fish sauce) act. That is why yeast products are a good substitute for MSG.

However, we are responding to your concerns. Lundberg Family Farms is dedicated to producing good-for-you rice products and clean labels that are easy to understand. We have begun the process of removing yeast from our products because of communications from you and other consumers, about the confusion surrounding MSG and yeast. We are working hard to revise our seasonings and hope to be done by next year.

Delicious! Thank you for not adding MSG to any of these chips, I would be unable to eat them.

My 5 year old autistic daughter is on a gluten-free and casein-free diet.  To find food items she will eat, that do not contain wheat gluten or dairy is almost impossible.  She likes the Sea Salt flavor and LOVES the Santa Fe Barbeque.  My local grocery store fills the shelves every two weeks with the Santa Fe Barbeque and I clean them out of stock (leave one bag to be considerate).  Would like to order direct, can you help?

    Hi Eric,
We're so glad to hear that your daughter loves our rice chips as much as we do! Your grocery store is the best place to buy the chips, but if you'd prefer to buy in bulk you can order them from Amazon.com, our online store (http://lundberg.elsstore.com/), or you can use our mail-in form (http://www.lundberg.com/Info/Where_to_Buy.aspx). Thanks for being a Lundberg fan!

We have a huge extended family and everyone loves your  Santa Fe Barbecue Rice Chips, (the Wasabi are fantastic too)!  Everyone asks us to bring these chips to parties and family get-togethers.  The only problem is that the packages are small so I have to clean the store out. I feel terrible every time I do.  Would you please consider larger packages?  Thank you!

SO HAPPY YOU REMOVED YEAST EXTRACT!  WAY TO GO -- OTHER COMPANIES WOULD NOT DO SO!

I just had a bag of these 2-FEB-2012 and there is definitely MSG in these chips. Not sure if it's in the "Natural Smoke Flavoring" or the "Citric Acid", but it's in there.  If the Citric Acid is from corn, rather than fruit, then it's possible that it some MSG, as per an article at http://nikas-culinaria.com/2007/02/21/monosodium-glutamate-bad-for-your-brain-your-figure-and-your-health/ . Don't know if that's true, but I definitely had a bad "MSG" reaction when I ate the chips. They were tasty for sure, but I won't give Lundberg any business for such DECEPTIVE labeling practices.

If someone were to tell me a year ago I would be eating something called rice chips, I would think they were lying. But since I can't have gluten anymore, I saw these at a local health store and thought I should tried them out. THEY ARE FANTASTIC!!!!! Thank you for these rice chips and all of your other products, and for making eating enjoyable again!

Tim - Sorry to read of your recent reaction to MSG after eating our Made With Organic Santa Fe BBQ Rice Chips. We've reviewed the ingredients and our seasoning vendor supplied us with complete allergen declarations for the seasoning; while MSG is not considered an allergen the ingredients used in the seasoning are free of yeast, yeast extracts, and glutamic acid. The natural smoke flavor is achieved by an aqueous hickory smoke solution that does not contain yeasts or glutamic acid. I realize you may feel disappointed or deceived but I assure you we are clear and open in our communications with our customers and loyal consumers. If you have any questions about this information, please let us know.

Very yummy...I just wish they filled up more than the quarter of the bag! They are pretty pricey for how much is actually in the bags.

I too, love these chips but I wish you would use coconut oil instead of the others as it is much healthier and gets burned off as energy rather than stored as fat. I also would like to see either more chips or a lower price since they are very addicting lol.
