Quick Skillet Supper

Cooking Instructions:

  • 1/4 cup dark sesame oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic, finely chopped
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

    Combine.

  • 3 pounds shrimp, 21-25 count

    Add; cover and refrigerate 2 hours.

  • 2 tablespoons dark sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, minced

    Saute ginger and garlic for about 1 minute.

  • 3 cups carrots, julienned
  • 3 cups red bell pepper, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 3 cups snow peas, halved

    Add; saute until pepper is tender.

  • 3 quarts cooked rice

    Add; blend.

  • 1/2 cup Hoisin sauce
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup cilantro
  • 1/2 tablespoon dark sesame oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon sugar

    Combine; add to rice mixture.

  • 1 tablespoon dark sesame oil
  • 24 cups Napa cabbage, shredded
  • Sesame seeds, as needed

    Saute cabbage and sesame seeds in oil until tender.

    For each portion: place 2 ounces cabbage on plate. Top with 12 ounces rice mixture; and additional sesame seeds. Makes 12 servings.
