Oriental Fried Rice

Cooking Instructions:

  • 3 cups cooked Lundberg® Long Grain Brown rice, cooled
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup drained bean sprouts
  • 1/3 cup sliced green onions
  • 1/3 cup slivered cooked roast pork
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

Heat rice and salt in well-greased large skillet. Add vegetables, pork and egg. Cook, stirring, 3 minutes over high heat. Add pepper and soy sauce. Cook, stirring, 1 minute longer. Makes 4 to 6 servings.

    I think this is Indonesian style. many people are more familiar with Chinese style - cook the egg first, then heat the other ingredients and stir in the already cooked egg.
