Ducking Good Rice
Jealous Critters

We've saved over 30,000 baby ducks. But turns out, some of the other species on the farm want a little credit, too.

Baby Duckling

Grown with obsessive levels of care.

At Lundberg Family Farms, we’re famous for growing rice—and not just any rice. Regenerative Organic Certified® rice.

But lately? We’re getting a lot of attention for something else entirely.

We save baby ducks. Like, a lot of them. Over 30,000 so far.

See, when ducks nest in our cover crops, we don’t shoo them away or “let nature run its course.” We strap on our waders, pick up each egg by hand, and carry them to safety. Because that’s what you do when you farm with love, patience, and a deep respect for the ecosystem you’re part of.

Enter: The Jealous Critters.

Turns out… other animals that thrive on our farm have noticed the spotlight the ducklings are getting.

And not to name names (frogs!), but some of them are getting a little jealous.

While baby ducks may be the fluffiest face of our care, they’re far from the only species we support. Our regenerative practices help protect habitats for hundreds of wild critters. It’s not just adorable. It’s intentional.

Healthy rice paddies = healthy ecosystems = a planet worth farming for.

So yes, we’ll keep saving ducks.
And we’ll keep growing rice the right way.

Because if we care this much about ducklings and frogs and turtles and egrets and hundreds of other species...

imagine how much we care about our rice.
