- In a medium saucepan, bring 1 3/4 cup water and 1 cup rice to a boil.
- Cover with a tight-fitting lid. Reduce heat to maintain a low simmer, and cook for 50 minutes.
- Remove from heat (keep covered) and steam for 10 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve.
Rice Cooker Instructions: To prepare in a rice cooker, use the same liquid to rice ratio.
* If rice is too firm, at the end of cooking, it may be necessary to add 1-2 Tbsp. liquid and cook longer.
Serve with your choice of skewered meat, bell peppers, and onions.
Toss rice with peas and carrots and serve with salmon and a fresh squeeze of lemon.
