- In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups water and 1 cup rice to boil.
- Cover with a tight-fitting lid. Reduce heat to maintain a low simmer, and cook 30 minutes for al dente and 35 minutes for more tender rice.
- Remove from heat (keep covered) and steam for 10 mintues. Fluff with fork and serve.
Rice Cooker Instructions: To prepare in a rice cooker, use the same liquid to rice ratio.
*If rice is too firm at the end of cooking, it may be necessary to add 1-2 Tbsp. liquid and cook longer.
