Organic Sprouted Toasted Coconut Rice
Fragrant and flavorful, Lundberg Toasted Coconut Rice makes a terrific accompaniment to many ethnic dishes. The sweet coconut perfectly complements our organic sprouted brown rice delivering an irresistibly sweet yet nutty flavor. So easy to prepare, serve as a tasty alternative to a traditional side dish or as a light meal anytime.
In a medium saucepan combine 1¾ cups of water, rice, and seasoning. Stir well and bring to a boil.
Cover and reduce heat to maintain a simmer. Do not lift lid while cooking. Simmer for 35 minutes.
Remove from heat. Let stand covered for 5 minutes. Add contents of coconut pouch. Fluff with fork and serve.
Soak up the compliments.
For a quick and easy tropical dish, stir in diced dried mangos and toasted cashews.
For even more flavor, substitute ¾ cup of water with unsweetened coconut milk.
Make this a meal by adding cooked shrimp and pineapple pieces.
