Instructions

  1. Combine rice, liquid, and butter or oil in a pot and bring to a boil. Cover with a tight-fitting lid. Reduce heat to maintain a low simmer and cook for 15 minutes. Remove from heat (keep covered) and steam for 5 minutes. Set aside.
  2. In a large sauté pan over medium low heat, add oil and garlic. Sauté for 5-7 minutes or until lightly golden brown. Remove garlic and set aside.
  3. Add cooked rice to sauté pan, add fried garlic, and stir to incorporate. Leave the rice undisturbed on medium heat for 7-8 minutes or until crispy and golden. Flip and repeat on the other side. Garnish with green onion, serve, and enjoy!
